"Maria, the fiesty and enthusiastic woman who runs Fully Stoked, asked me a few days ago to contribute to her new blog page. I've always hated the word blog. It's an anagram of glob which, in this context, suggests a turgid handful of words, flung unmercifully to a clean white page to fester, dry out and eventually rot, leaving only a stain to remind that there was once an opinion or at the very least a thought. Come to think of it, it fairly accurately describes the kinds of things I usually offer up to blogs. Okay, I�m glad that's settled."
